Unfortunately, we cannot provide VISA sponsorshipand we do not hire on a relocation basis, you must currently be based in/around the Wigan area and able to commute. 

Bespoke Health & Social Care are looking for a compassionate, outgoing individual to join our established and supportive team. You'll be providing care to a lively, sociable 21-year-old woman who loves engaging with the community and attending a special needs college alongside her dedicated support worker.Superb communication skills are vital as the young lady doesn't speak verbally but effectively communicates her needs and desires in her own expressive manner. Additionally, there is a well-trained, gentle-natured dog in the family household.If you are resilient, reliable, empathetic and looking for a role that truly makes a difference to someone else’s life then we want to hear from you. 

Key Responsibilities

Support Workers cover all manners of support for others – from companionship and days out, to personal care and housekeeping. 

  • Gastrostomy care
  • Moving and handling support
  • Personal care
  • Cough assist and suction 
  • Nebulisers and medication administration 

You will also provide support during outings and hospital visits with the family when required. You will also support with respite visits which include overnights and full days with another team member, During respite, activities can include supporting with days out, hydrotherapy, visits to local attractions amongst other fun things. 

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Ability to effectively communicate with individuals requiring care.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Empathy, patience, and compassion when interacting with individuals in need of support.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet varying care needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to undergo additional training and development as required.
