Assistant DA Support Worker - Wigan - Evening / Nights

Salary: 16,760 (Pay review pending)
Hours: 16.33 hours per week (3-week rolling rota)

About The Role:
Our client supports individuals to overcome their experiences, empowering them to build the skills and resources needed to take control of their lives, access their own tenancy, and maintain long-term quality of life. We provide the information needed to make positive choices about their futures.
As an Evening Assistant DA Support Worker, you'll deliver high-quality, trauma-informed, and person-centred support to clients within core and dispersed safe accommodation. You'll work during evening hours to ensure the service is delivered to the highest standard while adhering to our client's policies and procedures.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Accept new referrals, complete move-in procedures, and support flat turnarounds to ensure timely access to safe accommodation.
* Ensure the upkeep and security of the building, including handling cash and equipment responsibly.
* Maintain awareness of support plans and risk assessments, updating the Domestic Abuse Support Worker (DASW) on any changes or incidents.
* Provide feedback to the DASW on tenant SMART plans and achieved outcomes, ensuring accurate documentation on the client database.
* Complete risk assessments for 1-1 and group activities, incorporating safety planning and regular reviews.
* Facilitate evening group work, promoting and evaluating involvement sessions with clients.
* Monitor the security and safety of our client's premises, including CCTV, door entry systems, and alarms.
* Address non-engagement or obstacles to support using a trauma-informed approach.
* Actively promote the service and uphold GDPR, confidentiality, and professional boundaries.

Responsibilities Shared with All Staff:

* Participate in annual appraisals, regular supervision, and identify job-related development and training needs.
* Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to attend meetings, networks, and fund-raising events.
* Commit to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
* Undertake any other duties appropriate to your role.

Experience and Knowledge:
* Relevant qualification in Domestic Abuse, IDVA, ISVA, or equivalent (Diploma/Degree/NVQ 3) or equivalent work experience.
* Extensive understanding of individuals and families experiencing domestic abuse.
* Knowledge of planning, promoting, and delivering group sessions with evaluation.
* Experience of trauma-informed working, with knowledge of mental health, substance misuse, sex work, and exploitation.
* Knowledge of risk assessments, including DASH RIC, and safeguarding practices.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to liaise with local agencies.
* Computer literacy and experience maintaining clear documentation on client databases.
* Experience in safe accommodation, supported housing, or community settings.
* Qualifications or delivery experience in Freedom Programme, Gateway, Recovery Toolkit, Healthy Relationships, Counselling, or Train the Trainer.
* Experience working within the voluntary sector.

Other Information:
* DBS: Valid DBS check required.
* Travel: Regular travel is required. Business mileage is payable from an agreed base. The role holder must have a full driving license, road fund license, and business use insurance.
