We're now seeking an experienced Operational Demand Planning Lead to spearhead our demand planning operations and drive efficiency across our organisation.

The Role:As the OperationalDemand Planning Lead, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing the demand planning function, ensuring accurate demand forecasts that align with operational capabilities. You will lead a team of analysts, collaborate with various departments, and implement forecasting strategies to optimise efficiency. This is a critical role, ensuring our supply and demand are balanced to meet the company’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Demand Analysts.
    • Set clear objectives and monitor performance against key metrics.
  • Demand Forecasting & Planning:
    • Develop and implement demand forecasting strategies and models.
    • Oversee creation of detailed demand forecasts using historical data, market analysis, and cross-departmental input.
    • Own and manage business FTE forecast models based on business needs.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
    • Analyse demand data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
    • Prepare reports on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and supply chain performance for senior management.
    • Utilise advanced data analytics tools to enhance forecasting accuracy.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations to align demand forecasts with business objectives.
    • Lead cross-functional meetings to resolve demand planning issues.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements in demand forecasting and inventory management.

Experience & Knowledge

  • Previous leadership experience in demand planning or forecasting is essential.
  • Knowledge of forecasting methodology (Essential).
  • Experience in the energy sector is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Essential), and Power BI (Desirable).
