Aspire People are currently recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant based in Oadby and Wigston and surrounding areas.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team. You will work across year groups supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN) on a 1:1 basis, ensuring they receive the tailored support they need to thrive in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 support to pupils with SEN across various year groups
* Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
* Support classroom teachers in managing behaviour and developing strategies to enhance learning
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Encourage pupil independence and confidence in learning
* Monitor and track pupil progress, reporting to the SENCO and teaching staff
* Work closely with teachers and external professionals to support the child's development
* Ensure the safety and welfare of the children in your care at all times

Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a 1:1 capacity
* Ability to work across multiple year groups and adapt to different learning needs
* A passion for helping children reach their full potential
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with both pupils and staff
* Relevant qualifications or certifications in education or SEN support are advantageous but not essential
