Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and excellent driving skills, particularly in operating flatbed vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Operate a HGV Class 2 flat bed with HIAB on the back
- Delivering construction equipment
- MUST HAVE HIAB Ticket
- MUST HAVE HGV Class 2 License
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the lorry and report any issues promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations.
- Ability to operate a HIAB effectively.
- Excellent driving skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly when handling paperwork and cargo management.
- Good communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
