Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and excellent driving skills, particularly in operating flatbed vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a HGV Class 2 flat bed with HIAB on the back
  • Delivering construction equipment
  • MUST HAVE HIAB Ticket
  • MUST HAVE HGV Class 2 License
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on the lorry and report any issues promptly.

Skills

  • Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations.
  • Ability to operate a HIAB effectively.
  • Excellent driving skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly when handling paperwork and cargo management.
  • Good communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
