Shift: 37-hour contract - 3 shift pattern (morning, afternoon and night rotation)*
Pay Rate: 18.00 to 19.00 per hour including shift allowance

*Training will be on a day shift

Optima UK have an exciting new opportunity for a CNC Grinder / Machine Operator to work in a well established manufacturing facility in the Leicestershire area.

Job Role:

To operate CNC Machines (Grinding and EDM) in line with workload requirements, ensuring that all parts are machined to meet customer requirements and strict quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating CNC Grinding Machines, ensuring that parts are machined in accordance with the agreed method specification
    Attain machine setting skills to enable machine set ups
    Understanding of engineering drawings
    Inspecting parts in line with quality procedures and taking any necessary, approved, action to resolve quality issues
    Operating CMM machines to support inspection requirement

The candidate:

  • Previous experience in CNC Grinding is advantageous but not essential

  • Previous experience in CNC machining is advantageous

  • Experience within an Aerospace sector is advantageous

  • Ability to read engineering drawings

  • Able to self-inspect own parts using manual measuring equipment
