A global manufacturer of high precision components supplied to aerospace and defence industries, is now seeking an Inspector to join their growing team in Leicester. With sites in the UK and globally, this business has state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, ensuring the highest possible standards are achieved.

The Inspector will report to the Quality Manager, the main purpose of the role is to carry out inspection activities within the factory, ensuring that methods are complied with at all times and that parts are machined in line with customer requirements.

Inspector duties include -

  • Carry out first off inspections.
  • Ensuring that all machined parts are made to correct standards before manufacturing continues.
  • Complete visual inspection of parts during the inspection process.
  • Generate of Non-conformance paperwork where applicable.
  • Maintain OPC and sample inspections to ensure that parts and components are complying to method spec.
  • Complete receipt inspection where required (validation of parts returning from subcontract locations).
  • Adhere to Health and Safety compliance at all times

Inspector desirable skills and experience -

  • A sound understanding of inspection techniques
  • Experience of inspecting to tight tolerances
  • Good understanding of engineering drawings
  • Ability to use conventional inspection equipment
  • Ability to operate CMM machines
