A leading construction and civil engineering contractor are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join their family-owned business and helpdeliver a wide range of newly secured projects valued between 45m to 60m.
Reporting to a Commercial Manager, your duties will include:
- Develop and manage detailed cost estimates for large-scale civil works.
- Prepare tender documents, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts with contractors/suppliers.
- Manage NEC/JCT contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
- Monitor project costs, produce cost reports, and forecast financial outcomes.
- Assess contractor progress, validate interim payments, and manage cash flow.
- Evaluate and negotiate variations, ensuring financial viability.
- Identify risks, implement cost-saving measures, and optimize project value.
- Prepare final cost reports, settle accounts, and ensure contract compliance.
