Your new companyHays are working for an organisation based in Willenhall who are looking to welcome an Assistant Accountant to their team on a permanent basis.Your new roleAssist the Finance manager in the preparation of the management accounts packs including analysis of data

  • Ensure all prepayment/accrual schedules are kept up to date at the end of the month
  • Balance sheet reconciliations including Bank, Fixed Assets, prepayments and accruals.
  • Reconciliation of cashbooks.
  • Posting & matching cash received- ensuring that any deductions are highlighted to the credit control team.
  • Raising sales invoices.
  • Raising Bacs Payment Runs to Suppliers.
  • Management of the Expenses claimed for by remote staff
  • Learn aspects of other peoples' roles within the department to ensure that when they are off due to holidays or illness that cover is there.
  • Any other ad hoc duties that fall under the remit of the role / department.
