As Sales Supervisor your background is in engineering selling fasteners, forgings, pipes, fittings and machined components into the Oil & gas, petrochemical and MOD industries, or you may have come from another part of the metals industry.

  • As Sales Supervisor you will be managing a small team, they work well together, they know the business.
  • You will be analytical in your approach, someone who is comfortable with spreadsheets, you can pull data together for your reports and sales meetings.
  • You will have great business acumen and know how to win a customer over, here you will have your own accounts and still be very much front facing when it comes to sales.
  • This is a fast paced, high-energy department, you will need to manage that momentum and shield your team from distractions.

As Sales Supervisor you see your role as nurturing and developing talent... but you also love to build and maintain strong customer relationships.

Your approach will be to engage your team members giving them the tools to work collaboratively. Business is expanding currently at 5 million turnovers, now your new boss has stepped up to top job he needs you to lead his sales team, and who knows your next title could be "Head of sales".

If you speak a 2nd European Language (French, Portuguese or Spanish) then this is beneficial here, but not a deal breaker, if you have worked with American markets that would work too.

Although you are managing a team, you are not desk bound here, and a willingness to travel is essential both in the UK and overseas.

Working hours are 8am-5pm 2pm finish on a Friday, 26 days holidays plus your stats, a salary of 35 - 40 plus car allowance, healthcare plan, plus uncapped bonus.
