Senior Accountant / Assistant Manager required to join our client an Accountancy Practice located in Wilmslow on a full-time permanent, basis. The successful candidate will ideally be either part AAT, ACCA, ACA or qualified.
The Assistant Manager will be managing a varied portfolio of clients ranging from sole traders to multi-million-pound businesses as well as training junior members of staff.
Senior Accountant / Assistant Manager Position Overview
- Accounts preparation
- Preparing corporation and business tax computations
- Managing a portfolio of clients, interacting with them on a regular basis
- Attending client meetings
- Prepare and understand budgets for clients
- Technical awareness for accounting and tax changes that would impact clients
- An ability to prepare management accounts and financial models in excel
- Training junior members of the team
- Assisting with remuneration/dividend planning
- Assisting with statutory audits as required on occasion
- Assisting with ad-hoc projects and accountancy work when required
Senior Accountant / Assistant Manager Position Requirements
- 5 years'+ experience of working in a practice
- Must be experienced in completing year-end accounts
- AAT, ACA or ACCA qualified or qualified by experience
- It would be advantageous to have experience using Iris, Sage, Xero and QuickBooks
Senior Accountant Assistant Manager Position Remuneration
- Salary up to 35,000 per annum
- 22 days annual leave + birthday off + the 3 working days between Christmas and New Year and an extra day for every 2 years of service, capped at 30 days.
