Assistant Building Surveyor Salary & Benefits:
- Salary: 28,000 - 40,000 (DOE)

Assistant Building Surveyor Job Overview:
- Carrying out detailed measured surveys and preparing accurate CAD drawings
- Conducting building surveys, inspections, condition schedules, and planned maintenance reports
- Preparing drawings and liaising with local authorities for planning applications
- Developing initial and detailed designs ensuring compliance with building regulations and guidance
- Producing technical specifications, tender documents, and work schedules
- Supporting contract administration duties, including contract preparation, cost monitoring, and issuing instructions
- Managing tender processes, preparing tender analyses, and liaising with contractors
- Participating in and chairing client and contractor meetings, preparing minutes, and managing actions
- Monitoring construction works on-site, addressing technical issues, and liaising with contractors
- Providing technical support to the property management team and handling smaller project tasks
Assistant Building Surveyor Job Requirements:
- Degree in Building Surveying (RICS accredited)
- Ideally 1-2 years post-graduate experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ambition to achieve MRICS status
- Proactive approach and ability to manage tasks independently and collaboratively
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as necessary
