The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated professional to join the school’s Careers team. Based in the School’s newly opened College facility, the successful candidate should be committed to inspiring and supporting their pupils in their education and career choices. The Higher Education & Careers Advisor will provide high quality careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) to their sixth form pupils whilst also supporting their university application process.

The postholder will work 37½ hours per week during term time plus 2 additional weeks during the school holidays. Flexibility is essential and there may also be a requirement to work occasional evenings and weekends to support careers events and open days.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Applicants should be friendly and organised with strong communication and administrative skills.
  • Attention to detail is essential as is the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines whilst maintaining a good sense of humour.
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous as would a Level 6 qualification in careers guidance.
