Are you an experienced Audit Manager looking for a progression opportunity ? 

REED are currently recruiting an Audit Department Manager for an ambitious and well known Accountancy Practice, offering Hybrid and Flexible working. This is a key position to oversee an established team of seven. and provide support to the Directors in delivering the Company strategy. Audit Department Manager (Hybrid position)

Full Time, Salary £50,000 - £70,000 per annum 

Duties:

  • Responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and delivering audit services. In addition to client service delivery, the role will also involve being focused on income targets, recoverability and the planning and co-ordinating of the client’s commitments.
  • Responsible for the overall management of the team to co-ordinate, forecast and plan the workflow, as well as oversee training and offer support to the whole team.
  • Manage a client portfolio ensuring efficient and timely completion of all tasks required
  • Be recognised as the relationship manager for your portfolio of clients and coordinate all services that are required
  • Set team and individual objectives which are goal consistent with the Ward Goodman strategy
  • Maintain regulatory and Company standards
  • Carry out annual fee reviews for clients within the portfolio
  • Control budgets, chargeable hours and recoverability for all team members
  • Act in a professional manner, upholding the ethics of the Company, professional regulatory bodies and the Company policies and procedures
  • Use appropriate software in order to improve efficiencies
  • Comply with Company HR and training policies
  • Organise and monitor workflow to keep all members of staff working at their optimum whilst providing excellent client service
  • Support Client Service Managers with work flow peaks
  • Motivate, mentor and encourage all members of the team to ensure they are reaching their potential
  • Lead weekly team meetings
  • Carry out appraisals and one to ones for team members
  • Act as an ambassador for the company and actively promote services to existing and potential clients
  • Promote training and development for staff ensuring they understand the requirements of their role
  • Implement initiatives and specific projects as instructed by the Directors
  • Produce monthly reports and attend managers and departmental management meetings.
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting the department service lines and efficiency.
