Production Planning Supervisor l Wincanton l £35,000 per annum

About the Role

Our client, a well-established manufacturer in Wincanton, is seeking a motivated and hands-on Planning Supervisor to join their team on a permanent contract.

This is a key role where the successful candidate will lead and inspire a team of operators to produce high-quality products while meeting productivity and cost-efficiency targets.

Responsibilities

The Production Planning Supervisor will be responsible for:

  • To oversee production in the main factory ensuring that there is sufficient componentry and manpower.
  • Monitoring raw materials, packaging, labels, bags, and other consumables required for said production.
  • Carry out monthly stock take of raw materials and packaging.
  • Oversee booking in of all relevant goods into the factory.
  • Production forecasting and monitoring of daily output for both production departments.
  • QC of all production.
  • Oversee recycling.
  • Liaise with site Manager regarding machine outages.
  • Learn all machine processes in detail.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience within the manufacturing sector and in leadership roles
  • A strong understanding of Health & Safety policies
  • Excellent timekeeping skills
  • A commitment to quality and a proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure.
  • Computer literate and confident with using stock management/inventory software to ensure the efficient flow of materials and smooth production processes.
