A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a professional and confident individual seeking a role within a busy and dynamic environment. This is a newly created role and the Early Careers Administrator will help coordinate the recruitment opportunities for roles in the London, Winchester, and Edinburgh offices.The successful candidate will be be the 'face’ of the company on Graduate Assessment days, speaking and presenting to a high number of candidates and overseeing group activities. This is a hybrid role based from the Winchester office however during busy periods, the Early Careers Administrator will be required to work in the London office 2/3 times per week.

What will you be doing?

This is a broad and varied role with a wide array of tasks to include those set out below:

  • Administrative support for the recruitment of early career opportunities; predominately the graduate and intern programmes
  • Supporting multiple business areas with their early career opportunities in the London, Winchester, and Edinburgh offices
  • Dealing with the administration to support to ensure a sufficient talent pipeline through numerous channel to include:
    • 3rd party advertising
    • Booking, diarising, and managing travel arrangements for careers fairs and other relevant external recruitment events
    • Supporting with the organisation with events to showcase opportunities, e.g. insight days - including assisting in preparation of materials
    • Maintaining the accuracy and availability of the company online and printed materials
    • Working with the team to update materials
  • Supporting the Early Careers Assistant to update third-party providers with the opening and closing of roles and sending across any advertisements
  • Supporting with any administration to aid the team in delivering the recruitment strategy
  • Coordination of end-to-end early careers assessment process, including:
    • Supporting the Early Careers team in the annual review and ongoing development of the early careers’ recruitment processes
    • Assisting the Early Careers team in launching early careers recruitment processes each year using the applicant tracking system
    • Pulling reports from the applicant tracking system to ensure candidates are progressed and communicated with appropriately
    • Responding to queries from applicants regarding the company, recruitment processes or the applicant tracking system
    • Communicating with departments across the business to ensure their bespoke early careers recruitment needs are met
    • Organise the logistics for assessment centres and ensuring materials are printed / prepared for the day
    • Attendance at assessment days to ensure smooth operation and collect departmental feedback on candidates (This will involve frequent travel to the London office (and potentially the Edinburgh office), mainly during the active recruitment cycle)
    • Providing feedback to successful and unsuccessful candidates following assessment
    • Drafting offer letters for assessment centres and early careers job offers for review
  • Collating and updating information for graduate requirements for UK Visa and Immigration requests
  • Assisting with wider firm initiatives relevant to early careers recruitment e.g., diversity lead initiatives, Women’s Talent Academy
  • Undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required and which are commensurate with the level and responsibilities of the role

Skills required

  • Previous experience in early careers recruitment is desirable but not required
  • More importantly, they are looking for someone who is:
    • Keen to learn and able to adapt to new processes and systems quickly
    • Organised and able to multi-task across wide ranging duties and prioritise in busy periods
    • Able to work with the existing team to ensure successful management of applications, including providing cover during busy periods
    • Able to take tasks through to completion seeking approval where needed
    • Good communication skills and confident in working with others within the firm and externally
    • Proactive taking work forward
    • Competent in Microsoft products including word, PowerPoint and Excel
