Position: Senior Structural Engineer
Location: WinchesterWe are actively seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to deliver a wide range of engineering projects. The ideal candidate will bring a positive and practical approach to engineering while providing leadership to enhance the technical expertise of the team.
The project portfolio includes a diverse range, such as large developments, commercial, car distribution centres, MoD, education and retirement villages projects across the UK, valued at up to £200 million.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead design projects, from outline schemes to detailed design.
- A client-facing role, ensuring projects meet quality, budget, and time requirements.
- Monitor the financial performance of projects and report resource needs.
- Structural analysis and design using EuroCode design codes.
- Conduct checks on calculations, drawings, specifications, and other project deliverables.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers and apprentices.
- Undertake building assessments in line with the Building Safety Act.
- Manage intrusive investigations and site visits.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Chartered or nearly Chartered Engineer status (IStructE or ICE).
- Relevant degree in structural engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in structural design (concrete, steel, masonry, timber).
- Familiarity with finite element design, BIM, and 2D/3D design packages.
- Experience in running projects, client-facing roles, surveys, and site inspections.
- Strong communication and report-writing skills.
- Valid UK driving licence.
