Senior Stress Engineer - Winchester - BS EN13001 or BS2573 - Up to 64,000

Senior Stress Engineer required to join a growing engineering company based in Winchester.

The successful Senior Stress Engineer will report directly into the Engineering Lead and is responsible for ensuring and executing design analysis that is fit for purpose to support delivery to quality, schedule and budget.

This role requires someone who has a strong working knowledge of BS EN 13001 or BS 2573 and Eurocodes, ideally who has experience of hand-calculations.

The Package:

Salary up to 64,000

37 hours a week - Monday-Thursday (8:30-17:00) and Friday (8:30-16:30)

The Role:

  • Executing design analysis
  • To be the internal focal point for design analysis completed internally and by subcontractors.
  • Provide scheduling and tasking information to the Lead Engineers, Project Engineering Managers and Project Managers to support project delivery.
  • Work alongside design engineers to ensure designs are fit for purpose.
  • Identify design solutions to solve problems identified by structural analysis performed.
  • Analysis of engineering designs, primarily by hand calculation, backed up with FE analysis if required.
  • Authoring and/or checking design analysis documentation.

Requirements:

  • Degree/HNC/HND in an Engineering discipline or equivalent Chartered Engineer (IMechE, IET) preferred
  • Demonstrable track record in stress analysis and hand calculation using Mathcad.
  • Strong working knowledge of BS EN 13001 or BS 2573 parts 1&2 and Eurocode 3.
