A long awaited 3-year project is starting the main works at Junction 9 on the M3. The Winnall Junction experiences heavy congestion between the A34 and M3, leading to long delays however construction is about to begin on constructing free-flowing traffic between the 2 main roads.
The main scope of works will include 3 new road bridges to widen the existing motorway through the junction, several new roundabouts to improve local traffic and removing the existing signalled junctions, extending the existing slips and constructing large underpasses through the M3 for same-direction free-flow traffic.
Previous experience of highways or structures is essential, as well as an engineering background.
Site Agent Duties:
- Day to day management of a section of works, supporting the site team and subcontractors
- Assist the PM to ensure project is meeting overall quality and environmental specifications
- Attending weekly programme meetings and implementing any change to the project
- Ensuring all RAMS are being adhered to, daily briefings and inductions are being carried out and permits are in place.
- Attend stakeholder engagement meetings and liaise with the client for progress and change.
