Workshop Assistant

Description

We are currently seeking a workshop hand to join our clients team. As a workshop hand, you will be responsible for helping out in the joinery workshop, including cleaning, machine operating, laboring etc.

In this role, you will work primarily in a workshop environment, collaborating with the team of craftsmen and designers.

Responsibilities

• Help out the Bench joiners and machinists by assisting them in the workshop
• Ensure accuracy and precision in measuring, cutting, and shaping wood pieces
• Use hand tools, such as chisels
  and hand planes, to refine and finish wood surfaces
• Maintain and clean woodworking machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity
• Monitor the quality of the final products and make adjustments as necessary

Requirements

• Experience working in a production environment would be an advantage
• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Ability to work with hand tools, such as chisels, planes, and hand saws
• Solid understanding of safety protocols and practices in a workshop environment
• Training will be offered
