My client, a well-established employee-owned development consultancy, is looking for a Planning Director to join the team in Winchester! The client, specialise across in a variety of disciplinary including Town Planning, Architecture, Urban Design and Ecology.
The Role as a Planning Director:
As Planning Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the business while leading a talented team of planners. You will be responsible for managing high-profile projects, fostering strong client relationships, and driving business development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities as a Planning Director:
- Leading and managing planning projects across a range of sectors, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
- Providing expert planning advice to clients, stakeholders, and local authorities.
- Mentoring and developing junior members of the team.
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Representing clients in planning appeals, inquiries, and local plan examinations.
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest professional standards.
About You as a Planning Director:
- A chartered member of the RTPI with significant experience in the planning sector.
- Proven track record of leading planning projects and teams.
- Strong commercial awareness and business development skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- A proactive and strategic mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality planning solutions.
