Seeking a Full-Time Maths Teacher – Secondary School in Winchester, Hampshire!

GSL Education are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a Maths Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive secondary school in Winchester, Hampshire. The role is available to start from February/Easter or as soon as possible, depending on the notice periods, and offers a competitive salary range from £30k to £50k per year, based on experience, from ECT through to the Upper Pay Scale. A permanent contract will be offered following a successful probation period.

Responsibilities of a Maths Teacher:

• Deliver dynamic and engaging Maths lessons across various topics and levels.
• Develop, plan, and implement lesson plans that promote mathematical understanding and problem-solving skills.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them improve.
• Foster a safe and positive environment that encourages participation, critical thinking, and respect.
• Work collaboratively with other staff to create an inclusive and supportive school community.
• Participate in extracurricular Maths programs and events.
• Take an active role in promoting the academic success and well-being of students.
• Keep up to date with the latest Maths curriculum developments and pedagogical practices.

Required Qualifications for a Maths Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Strong passion for Mathematics and education.
• Experience teaching Maths at the secondary school level (ECTs are encouraged to apply).
• The ability to create and deliver engaging lessons that inspire students to excel in Maths.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• Ability to motivate and build positive relationships with students.
• A commitment to fostering student well-being and personal development.
• A collaborative and proactive approach to working with colleagues.
• Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
