Housing Officer Immediate Requirement for a Leading Housing Association
Our client, a prominent Housing Association, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Housing Officer to join their team. This is a critical role aimed at providing comprehensive housing management services to residents, ensuring the effective delivery of housing solutions, and maintaining high standards of tenancy support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of properties, ensuring all tenancy agreements and housing services are delivered effectively and in accordance with policies and regulations.
- Provide advice and support to residents on tenancy issues, ensuring their needs are met and concerns are addressed in a timely manner.
- Carry out routine inspections of properties, monitoring repairs and maintenance to maintain the quality and safety of housing stock.
- Take a proactive approach to managing rent arrears, supporting tenants in meeting their financial obligations while ensuring appropriate action is taken where necessary.
- Collaborate with other departments and external agencies to resolve anti-social behaviour and other tenancy-related issues.
- Ensure that all documentation is accurate and up to date, including tenancy agreements, rent accounts, and correspondence with tenants.
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Housing Officer or in a similar role within the social housing sector.
- Strong knowledge of housing law, tenancy management, and rent collection processes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle complex situations with professionalism and tact.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- A solid understanding of safeguarding and the ability to manage sensitive issues discreetly.
