Sonic Summary

Hampshire County Council is seeking a Special Needs Officer (SNO) with tribunal or related experience for a fully remote position.
The role is set to start ASAP and will initially last for 3 months.
The successful candidate will manage the EHC Needs assessment and placement process for children and young people aged 0 to 25.
Responsibilities include overseeing complex casework, attending mediation and tribunal meetings, and providing management support to a team of SEN Caseworkers.
Candidates should have relevant experience, and while the salary is not specified, it typically aligns with similar roles in the sector.

Must have tribunal or linked experience
Role is starting ASAP for 3 months initially.
Fully remote working

Role Purpose:

To manage and oversee the EHC Needs assessment and placement process for children and young people from 0 years to age 25,
Determine the appropriate level of support and identify placements for children and young people with SEN.
Oversight and responsibility for complex casework, Mediation and Tribunals
Attend Mediation and pre-hearing Tribunal meetings as required.
Provide line management support to a team of SEN Caseworkers
Ensure the careful management of and accountability for SEN budgets, in accordance with HCC policy.
