Learning Support Assistant - Southampton - ASAP Start - Must be a driver!Academics are looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a post 16 student with social, emotional and mental health needs.The school is based in Southampton on the outskirts of the New Forest. You must be a driver as you will be required to drive a staff car between sites based in Totton and New Milton with the young person. You must be able to get to Totton or New Milton as a base and drive to the other site using a staff car.You will be joining an 'Outstanding' Independent Special School for children aged from 9-19 years who have social, emotional and mental health needs, autism spectrum conditions, social communication difficulties and associated learning difficulties.This is to start ASAP working Monday-Friday, term-time. This is an ongoing contract.This role would be suited to a Learning Support Assistant who has worked in an SEN/SEMH school or with pupils with challenging behaviours, although the are open to Learning Support Assistant's coming from a mainstream background.
