Learning Support Assistant

Are you a passionate and patient individual with experience in a support role? Do you have Special Educational Needs experience or similar?

Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking Learning Support Assistants for support within both Primary, Secondary or Specialist schools within the local area.

At Reed Education Southampton, we currently run the Hampshire Supply Service through our branch, working with the Hampshire County Council to cover within schools with our education professionals. We support over 550 schools across the whole of Hampshire with the needs for support within schools growing year on year.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide excellent support and assistance to both pupils and class teachers, assisting with any learning support needed, and to provide a safe and nurturing environment. You will have remarkable standards for positive behaviour within the classroom and encourage engagement with any tasks.

To be considered for this role, you will have/need:

• Relevant experience as a Learning Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant
• Experience of working with children
• A genuine passion and desire to work with children, whilst ensuring a positive attitude

The salary for this position is set at £11.50 to £13 per hour (depending on experience). This is a temporary, full time/part time role, with the opportunity for a permanent position for the right candidate. The headteacher would like to meet the candidate before placement is accepted.
