Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (with Lunchtime Supervisor responsibilities) to join a local Primary School on a full time, permanent basis!

The school is a small primary school located within the heart of Winchester, who believe that close partnerships with families are key to ensuring that the pupils within the school are happy, resilient and confident learners for life. All adults within the school are role models to pupils, and encourage pupils to develop a sense of responsibility for themselves and respect for others.

As the Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Be passionate about making a significant impact on children’s progress and attainment
  • Be able to work within a class or on a 1-to-1 basis with children
  • Provide to support to pupils with Additional Learning Needs within the classroom
  • Be able to support pupils and supervise children at lunchtimes

Salary for this role: LSA role paid at Grade C with Lunchtime Supervisor role paid at Grade A.

For this role, you will be/will need:

  • Ideally, recent experience working within a school setting
  • A calm disposition with a good sense of humour
  • A positive approach aligning with the schools values
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with both adults and pupils
  • A team player with a professional attitude
  • Ability to implement clear boundaries and routines
  • Able to work independently and take initiative, with proficiency in Maths, English and IT
