Our client has grown to be one of the largest and most respected property consultancies and surveying advisory firms in the UK with a network of offices across England and Wales, employing more than 900 partners and employees. As a major property practise, they have a market leading team comprising of surveyors, valuers, environmental specialists, project managers and town planners. We are looking for an experienced Surveyor, who is motivated to drive business initiatives and build trusted relationships.  The particular focus of this role concentrates on managing a clients coastal estate, which comprises of a blend of leisure and commercial sites including ports, marinas, rivers and estuaries.Key responsibilities will include:
  • Day to day management of a coastal estate across SE and SW of England.
  • Manage existing infrastructure and marine related commercial lettings including marinas, moorings, jetties and wharfs, bridges and tunnels, pipelines & cables.
  • Undertake rent reviews and lease renewals.
  • Handle new enquiries and negotiate lease, licence, disposals, and consents.
  • Manage encroachments on the client’s land.
  • Promote Health and Safety across the estate.
  • Attend forums, tenant, and client events.
  • Provision of sound financial and client reporting as required from time to time.
Key requirements:
  • RICS qualified with PQE in a rural/infrastructures surveying role
  • A background of rural practice ideally with demonstrable experience in marine and coastal estates.
  • Good working knowledge of relevant legislation, current knowledge of the marine and coastal market.
  • Client facing skills, with strong verbal and written communication skills i.e. report writing
  • Experience of delivering and managing multiple projects and keeping to timelines
  • A full UK driving licence is essential.
