Interim Financial Accountant - 3 Months
Job Type: Full-time, Contract (3 months minimum)Location: Office-based 4 days a week (Windermere), remote on FridaysSalary: £50,000 TO £60,000 per annum We are seeking a Qualified Financial Accountant to join our client's team on a temporary basis. This role is crucial for supporting our finance department with VAT returns, assisting in the upcoming audit, and aiding with year-end procedures.Day-to-day of the role:
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide essential support during the external audit process scheduled for February.
- Assist with year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Collaborate with the finance team to implement best practices and improve financial procedures. Ensure all financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Proven experience in managing VAT returns and understanding VAT legislation.
- Strong experience in preparing for audits and year-end financial tasks.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
