Join our dedicated team in Cumbria, where we are seeking a dynamic ICT Teacher to inspire and educate secondary school students. This role is ideal for someone with a robust understanding of the ICT curriculum and a passion for creating an engaging learning environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver engaging and informative ICT lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels; experience with KS5 is advantageous but not essential.
- Utilise strong subject knowledge to create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and curiosity.
- Implement effective classroom management techniques to maintain a respectful and productive learning atmosphere.
- Assess, monitor, and report on the progress of students.
- Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance the curriculum and share best teaching practices.
- Participate in school events and activities, contributing to the school’s community and ethos.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Recent and relevant experience teaching ICT at KS3 and KS4 levels; KS5 experience is beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to be an excellent classroom practitioner with effective classroom management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to be patient, trustworthy, punctual, and confident when working with children.
- Must be reliable, committed, and interested in fostering a positive learning environment.
- Must demonstrate qualities of compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
