Join our dedicated team in Cumbria, where we are seeking a dynamic Maths Teacher to inspire and educate secondary school students. This role is ideal for someone with a robust understanding of the Maths curriculum and a passion for creating an engaging learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and informative Maths lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels; experience with KS5 is advantageous but not essential.
  • Utilise strong subject knowledge to create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and curiosity.
  • Implement effective classroom management techniques to maintain a respectful and productive learning atmosphere.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on the progress of students.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance the curriculum and share best teaching practices.
  • Participate in school events and activities, contributing to the school’s community and ethos.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Recent and relevant experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4 levels; KS5 experience is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated ability to be an excellent classroom practitioner with effective classroom management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to be patient, trustworthy, punctual, and confident when working with children.
  • Must be reliable, committed, and interested in fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Must demonstrate qualities of compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
