Are you a Catering Event Manager looking for a new exciting opportunity? Look no further!

Our client, a reputable and nationwide events company, are looking for a Catering Event Manager to join their team of specialists. As the Catering Event Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the professional, efficient, and profitable operation of catering and events. You will manage and coordinate all aspects of the catering department, working closely with the Executive Director and other key stakeholders to meet financial targets and deliver outstanding experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities Required of the Catering Event Manager:

  • Financial Performance:
    • Collaborate with the Executive Director and catering team to achieve the annual budget for catering income and expenditure.
    • Manage event spend per head and labour costs, ensuring alignment with budget expectations.
    • Accurately produce monthly management accounts, including stock takes and financial analyses.
  • Event Excellence:
    • Lead the planning and execution of events, ensuring they are delivered to the highest standards.
    • Innovate and develop product offerings in partnership with the Head Chef and commercial team to drive sales and profitability.
    • Maximize profits from all events, working closely with the sales team.
  • Leadership & Team Management:
    • Instruct, supervise, and support your team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
    • Work with the Regional HR Manager to manage staff performance, including attendance, leave, and appraisals.
  • Compliance & Licensing:
    • Fulfill licensee responsibilities, including acting as the Designated Premises Supervisor.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, particularly regarding the sale of alcohol.

What We're Looking For in the Catering Event Manager:

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage staff at all levels.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar catering and events management role.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Advanced knowledge of food principles and practices.
