Your new companyHays Recruitment are proud to be supporting an academic Winsford-based SEN high school as they are looking to appoint a motivated and relaible teaching assistant to support a number of classes across KS3 and KS4 (key stage). This is a long-term full-time temporary contract with a focus on academic outcomes and attainment needs.Your new roleAsa a teaching assistant within this school, you will be supporting across key stage 3 and key stage 4. You will work alongside the class teachers to offer a stimulating and engaging learning environment for all pupils by aiding in general class and behaviour management and building strong constructive relationships with all pupils. As you will be working within an SEN school, all of your pupils will have a variety of needs and have independent EHCP's but are all at high capacity and are working inline with the curriculum. As you will be working in multiple different classes, you will focus on pupil attainment needs, offering intervention and booster sessions on a 1:1 and group basis as required, including intense interventions to lower/mixed ability pupils within a separate classroom.What you'll need to succeedTo be considered in your application, you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK, a minimum of 40 days referenceable experience within a classroom or similar environment in the last 2 years, as well as:

  • The ability to hold intervention and booster sessions across key stage 3 & 4
  • Experience aiding in GCSE preparation is advantageous
  • An NVQ Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualificaiton is advantageous but not required
