Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, to work with a school in their Resource Provision division. Here you will work with a supportive and welcoming team at a Primary School in Winsford. Helping to support children withspecific types of special educational needs, such as a sensory impairment (visual impairment or hearing impairment) or social, emotional, and mental health needs.

To be successful in applying to this role, a candidate will need to show that they have a good understanding of the needs of supporting SEN children and have previous experience working within this role. Good communication skills and a patient temperament are also essential.

The desirables:

  • Experience working with SEN children
  • Strong knowledge of primary curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt strategies to meet the diverse needs of individual students
  • Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, during term time (8.30am - 3.30pm)

The essentials:

  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Oversea Police Clarence (if necessary) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover last 10 years of employment and education.
  • Legal right to work in the UK
