About Us: This Alternative Provision is dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students who require additional assistance. Our alternative provision setting caters for primary and secondary students who are unable to access mainstream education. The school hopes to reintegrate all students back into mainstream schooling and helps students to overcome barriers to education and achieve their full potential. Based in the heart of Blandford Forum, we are committed to creating a nurturing atmosphere that empowers our students.

The Role: We are seeking a passionate and motivated KS3 Teacher to join our team and contribute to the growth and development of our students. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people, particularly those with diverse learning needs. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and tailored lessons, monitoring student progress, and fostering a positive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons for KS3 students.
  • Support students in overcoming individual challenges and fostering resilience.
  • Assess, track, and report on student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, external agencies, and parents to support students’ well-being and academic achievement.
  • Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and engagement.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching KS3 students, preferably in an alternative provision or similar setting.
  • Strong understanding of special educational needs and effective strategies to support diverse learners.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young people.
