We are currently working on behalf of a care provider that is seeking a Locum Speech & Language Therapist to join their well-established team.
The service supports adults of a working age with neurological conditions, and this is equivalent to a band 7 SALT position.

Key responsibilities of a Speech and Language Therapist:
  • Performing Speech and Language Therapy assessments of clients with diverse presentations to identify needs and formulate intervention plans.
  • Developing and supporting the delivery of individualised intervention programmes and/or group sessions using your knowledge of evidence based practice.
  • Evaluating client progress, reassessing and updating intervention programmes as required.
  • Providing advice, information and training to staff, other members of the multi-disciplinary support/clinical wellbeing team.
  • Demonstrate specialist knowledge in instrumental evaluation of swallowing including interpretation of both video fluoroscopy and FEES reports.
  • Provide clinical advice and support to the Speech and Language Therapy Team along with support staff and students.
Speech and Language Therapist Requirements:
  • HCPC registration
  • Post graduate training in dysphagia
  • Ability to manage a complex case load independently with proven expertise in the field of neurorehabilitation
  • Experience in supervising junior SLT team members, writing appraisals and action plans
  • Active involvement in service development projects
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
