Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation and implementation of comprehensive health and safety policies that align with industry regulations and best practices.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor safety compliance and identify potential hazards.
- Provide guidance and support to site teams on health and safety issues.
- Develop and deliver health and safety training sessions to staff and subcontractors, ensuring everyone is up to date with safety protocols and regulations.
- Investigate accidents and incidents on-site, identifying root causes and ensuring corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation, preparing reports for senior management and clients as required. Maintain accurate records of site safety performance.
Requirements
- A NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent is essential. A NEBOSH Diploma is highly desirable.
- A strong background in health and safety within the construction or commercial roofing sectors, with a good understanding of the specific challenges faced on site.
- Ability to communicate effectively with teams, subcontractors, and clients, providing clear guidance on health and safety matters.
- A keen eye for detail when conducting inspections, audits, and investigating incidents to ensure all safety issues are addressed.
- Ability to identify risks and implement practical solutions before issues escalate, with a hands-on approach to managing health and safety on-site.
