Our Client, Cheshire West and Chester Council, is seeking a Social Work Team Manager to join their Children's Fostering Team.

This is a Hybrid Working Role!

Responsibilities of this role:

  • To provide day to day guidance and support to two Team Managers to in turn manage their team of Supervising Social Workers and Social Work Assistants.
  • To provide day to day operational support to the Operations Manager and Registered Manager and deputise in their absences.
  • To ensure all records and data are completed within set deadlines and to a high standard by all staff members
  • To support the Registered Team Manager within the monitoring of Schedule 6/7 matters and when appropriate, to have delegated responsibility for liaising with Ofsted on these matters
  • To supervise social work managers, monitoring progress, timescales, and practice standards
  • To liaise closely with the recruitment and duty teams and fulfil specific responsibilities in relation to foster carer recruitment and assessment, referrals, and placements
  • To liaise closely with the therapeutic and admin teams to ensure expectations are met and the service continues to be compliant.
  • To have innovative ideas with regards to recruitment and events and actively partake with the organisation of such events and outcomes.
  • To monitor regular consultation across the service, implementing or advocating for necessary changes to ensure continued growth, productivity and customer and staff satisfaction.

Requirements of this role:

  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in social work, social work degree or equivalent)
  • Must have minimum of 3 years’ Post Qualifying experience as Social Worker
  • Must be experienced as a Team Manager
