Halcyon Care Dorset Ltd are working together with a privately owned family run care home that specialises in excellent care and support for their elderly residents. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established care provider with an excellent reputation.  The home has been providing care in the Southbourne area of BCP for over 20 years.

 The home is residential, with up to 20 single rooms, with 3-4 of the rooms, currently going through refurbishment. The residents are a mixture of elderly and some dementia, but none are severe.

The current manager (also the owner) is looking for someone to take over the day-to-day running of the home and is keen to appoint the right candidate, as the incoming manager will be given full autonomy to run the service.  Our client is a provider who holds a CQC registration which is rated GOOD. If you take pride in and are exceptional in what you do, plus have the passion and motivation to make a difference each day, then we would love to discuss the opportunity further.

What we are looking for in our Care Home Manager:

  • You must have experience in a similar role and be able to demonstrate a track record of successfully achieving a good CQC rating and taking an active leadership role.
  • Can confidently manage a service from a compliance point of view
  • Work in partnership with individuals to create bespoke support packages.
  • Equivalent Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health Social Care or willingness to study to gain the qualification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to lead a team.
  • Building excellent relationships with residents and their families giving them peace of mind.
