A welcoming SEN School in Wisbech is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Maths Teacher to join their team on a supply basis, making a real difference in the lives of their students.

About the Role:

As our Maths Teacher, you will create a positive and engaging learning environment that empowers students with SEMH to thrive. This involves:

  • Planning and delivering differentiated Maths lessons tailored to individual learning styles and needs, ensuring all students are supported and challenged appropriately.
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with students, fostering their self-esteem and confidence both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Implementing creative and engaging teaching strategies that cater to different learning styles and keep students motivated.
  • Collaborating effectively with our dedicated SEN team, including support staff, therapists, and parents/guardians to provide a holistic approach to student wellbeing.

About You:

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification is essential.
  • Experience teaching Maths to students with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
  • You possess a deep understanding of the challenges faced by SEMH students and are confident in implementing strategies to support their emotional and academic development.
  • You are resilient, patient, and empathetic with a passion for inclusive education.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
