Role Description:

They pride themselves on their commitment to excellence and a team-oriented culture and are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organised Credit Controller to join the Finance team. As Credit Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, undertaking accounting tasks and supporting the financial operations of the company. The ideal Credit Controller will have strong accounting/Financial Control/Credit Control knowledge. Responsibilities:

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company, including daily transactions, income, expenses and inventory

Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, track payments and manage accounts payable and receivable. Ensure timely payments to vendors and follow up on outstanding receivables

Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner

Payroll Processing: Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and benefits

Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements. Provide regular updates to management on the financial status of the company

Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis

Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards. Assist with tax filings and other regulatory requirements

Audit Support: Provide support during financial audits, including preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries

Administrative Tasks: Perform general administrative duties related to finance, such as filing, data entry and managing financial correspondence
Requirements:

Experience: Proven experience as a Credit Controller or in a similar role.

Experience with specific accounting software, e.g., QuickBooks, Xero is highly desirable

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

Excellent organisational and time-management skills

Strong attention to detail and accuracy
