Role Overview:We are seeking a skilled and passionate Higher Paid Lecturer (HPL) in Animation to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching in animation, guiding students through both theoretical and practical aspects of the field. If you have a strong background in animation and are committed to inspiring and developing the next generation of animators, we would love to hear from you.Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging animation courses, covering areas such as 2D/3D animation, character design, storytelling, and digital media.
  • Provide expert guidance and mentorship to students, helping them develop their technical and creative skills.
  • Develop and update course materials and resources to ensure content is relevant, engaging, and aligned with industry standards.
  • Track and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic and personal development.
  • Collaborate with other lecturers and departments to deliver a cohesive learning experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessments.
  • Ensure that all safeguarding, health, and safety policies are adhered to in the classroom and studio.

Key Requirements:

  • A relevant degree in Animation, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • A strong portfolio of work demonstrating expertise in animation, with knowledge of industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Animate, Maya, Blender).
  • Previous teaching experience in animation or a related field, preferably within a further education or higher education setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • A passion for the animation industry and a commitment to sharing that passion with students.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and keeping up to date with industry trends.
