Your new companyExcellent opportunity to join a Local Authority in Essex as a Building Control Surveyor. In this role you will ensure that construction projects comply with building regulations and associated legislation. You will work with a variety of property, from residential developments to commercial builds. Your new roleAs the Building Control Surveyor you will assess and approve plans and applications for compliance with building regulations. As part of this you will be required to conduct site inspections and provide advice to clients and contractors on technical regulatory matters. You will need to identify non-compliant issues and ensure necessary corrective actions are taken. You will work alongside an experienced team and will manage your own caseload from the outset.

What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful for this role, you should be registered at a minimum level of class 2 with the BSR. Experience gained in a similar role is preferred and you should be able to demonstrate strong knowledge of building regulations, construction standards and Health and Safety.
