A small yet ambitious fire consultancy based in South Essex is seeking a skilled Fire Risk Assessor to join their growing team.
This exciting opportunity will see the successful Fire Risk Assessor working across the residential sector, including low- and mid-rise blocks of flats, alongside some smaller commercial properties.
The Fire Risk Assessor's Role
As the Fire Risk Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) in residential and commercial environments. Your work will extend to Fire Door Surveys and Inspections, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Additionally, you'll provide expert input on health and safety practices, contributing to the safety and wellbeing of clients' properties and tenants.
Your duties will include:
- Carrying out detailed Fire Risk Assessments.
- Conducting Fire Door Surveys and Inspections.
- Preparing clear and accurate reports with actionable recommendations.
- Advising clients on fire safety compliance and improvements.
- Supporting health and safety evaluations as required.
The Successful Fire Risk Assessor Will Have
- Demonstrable experience conducting Fire Risk Assessments, ideally in the residential sector.
- Familiarity with fire safety legislation, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
- Experience in Fire Door Surveys and knowledge of health and safety practices.
- Recognised fire safety qualification, such as FPA, NEBOSH Fire, or equivalent.
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach to fire safety challenges.
