Job Title: Import Customs Administrator

Location: Witham

Salary: Market leading salary – dependent on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday – 9am to 5.30pm

Key Skills and Qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Previous experience in a similar Customs or Import role is essential
  • Strong knowledge of Customs regulations and processes (inc. International)
  • Excellent communication, negotiating and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy under pressure
  • Experience with customs platforms and industry-standard software e.g. CHIEF, CNS Destin8 and a good understanding of ETSF warehouse processes

Key duties & Responsibilities:

  • Handling and signing customs documents under Power of Attorney on behalf of clients
  • Extracting and processing data from commercial invoices and packing lists to complete import declarations
  • Using specialist Customs software (Destin8, Sequoia, Descartes) to clear goods into the UK
  • Working closely with importers, exporters, and internal teams to ensure smooth processing
  • Managing duties and taxes, applying for refunds, and assisting with tariff reclassification
  • Staying up to date with the latest import regulations (CDS, NCTS, GVMS, IPAFFS)
  • Ensuring accurate and timely completion of at least 75+ entries per week
