Our client, a global Freight Forwarding company based in Witham are seeking a Shipping Administrator to join their expanding team.
This role will allow you to gain a real an insight and solid understanding of the shipping industry. This is an excellent position for a candidate looking to begin their career within a forward thinking company, with excellent potential for progression over time.
The ideal candidate will be able to multi-task and be extremely well organised. Key Responsibilities:路 Process documentation in line with system and customer requirements.路 Ensure schedules are updated within the business systems.路 Contribute to customer care and key account (enquiries, requests, calls etc) as required to achieve a successful outcome.路 Maintain customer records line with business processes and in conjunction with other departments.路 Collate and file manifest files and folders in line with business requirements.路 Work alongside other departments as necessary to resolve issues that may arise.路 Answering customer calls and managing enquiry to a successful conclusion.
Technical skills:路 Knowledge of Excel.路 MS Outlook.路 Data inputting.路 Spreadsheets.路 Computer literacy.
Soft skills:路 Highly organised and structured approach to tasks.路 Excellent attention to detail.路 Work on own initiative but also as part of a team.路 Flexible approach to working during busy periods.路 Excellent ability to develop relationship with customers.路 Strong task orientation - can do approach.
Although no specific freight forwarding experience is required as full training will be given the following experience would be desirable and viewed favourably.
