Casanovas Recruitment Solutions is delighted to be working with a reputable company based in Essex. We are recruiting for a Head of Employment Policy and Practice position who must be highly knowledgeable in all ER areas and a competent senior HR professional. Travelling around the country may also be required.

Responsibilities:

  • To ensure all HR Policies and procedures are kept up to date, to amend or improve where necessary
  • Aid the Assistant HR Director to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the overall business strategy
  • To deliver high quality and responsive advice, employment law and sector updates
  • Attending meetings and to confidently action any HR procedures or employee relations
  • Oversee and monitor Industry Relations and Employee Relations
  • Manage the renewal of the company benefit supplier
  • Execute all mandatory Health & Safeguarding and Data Protection training and keep updated on refresher courses
  • Carry out regular checks to ensure our job analysis and overall pay structures are correct
  • Liaise with Trade Unions and / or Staff Groups (Must have)
  • Reviewing and overseeing employment contracts and policies

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong leadership and diplomacy abilities
  • MCIPD or similar professional qualification
  • Superior knowledge and understanding of employment law and all HR relations
  • Strong interpersonal skills including negotiation, influencing and relationship building
  • Strong background in handling complex employee relations issues and maintaining a positive workplace culture
  • Dealing with Trade unions
