Position: European Claims Handler
Location: Witham
Hours: Monday to Friday
Salary: Up to 35,000
We are recruiting for one of the UK's leading logistics and freight companies that operate worldwide and offer a full range of services in the UK, across Europe and Internationally across all trade routes.
We seek a European Accounts Handler to join our client's team in the Witham area.
Your key responsibilities as a European Claims Handler:
- The purpose of this role is to ensure the European Insurance claims are dealt with in a correct & timely manner and to ensure a service fit for purpose and meets both external and internal requirements, including environmental legal compliance and customer expectations.
- Review and log all claims received in accordance with internal process
- Investigate all claims, through paperwork, evidence gathering
- Prepare claim correspondence on questions of coverage and claim value
- Negotiate and settle claims within specified authority
- Liaise with Customers and keep them updated through the process
- Liaise with Suppliers for settlement of claims
- Management reporting of claims
Requirements:
- Excellent customer service
- Excellent written communication
- Ability to prioritise and refer issues
- Previous experience in European Insurance Claims is desirable
- Background within freight forwarding / CMR insurance.
- Proficient in Microsoft programs such as Word & Excel
- Ability to learn new systems easily
- Follow the companies SOP's for compliance
- Ability to work with others as part of a team
- Highly numerate
- Good organisational skills to manage workload
- Ability to work under pressure
- High attention to detail
