Stock Controller

Location: Witham, Essex

Salary: £27,000 per year

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Goods Receiving / Stock Controller to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management of inventory and the timely receipt of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the receipt of goods and ensure accuracy in delivery against purchase orders.
    • identification of goods
    • packing of goods
    • recording of non-stock items
    • movement of stock from the warehouse to the machine.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock levels regularly.
  • Organise and manage the storage of goods to optimise space and accessibility.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and assist in inventory audits.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment.
  • Operate a Fork Truck to facilitate the movement of stock as needed.

Key Requirements:

  • A valid Fork Truck license is non-negotiable.
  • Previous experience in a goods receiving or stock control role is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in using inventory management systems and software.
