Our client is a specialist Legal 500 crime firm based in Essex, seeking to recruit a Duty Solicitor for their successful criminal defence team.
The role requires representing clients, preparing cases, and handling out-of-hours duties, including police and magistrates' court caseloads.
Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, the ability to prepare serious cases, and proficiency with computers; newly qualified applicants are welcome.
Higher Rights are advantageous but not essential, and flexible working arrangements are available.
The position offers a competitive salary, and candidates should ideally have some experience, although newly qualified solicitors may be considered.

They would also consider a newly qualified applicant with the potential to gain Duty Solicitor status. Higher Rights are an advantage but not essential. The Role:

Representing clients and preparing cases to a high standard.
Out-of-hours duties, including Police and Magistrates' Court caseloads.
Working closely with experienced lawyers.
Flexible working arrangements.

The Ideal Candidate:

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to prepare serious and technical cases.
Proficiency with computers and the ability to work remotely.
A passion for client care and delivering high-quality service.
